A perfect image is the goal of all photographers. I have been passionate about photography for many years - operating a busy darkroom in the '70's and '80's. Converting to digital has created many challenges and brought new vigour to the art. Wherever possible, I believe that the primary work should be accomplished 'in camera', before using the wonders of digital software. To capture a mere snapshot in time is a privilege - to create an image which can be enjoyed by others is a pleasure. I love sunrises, sometimes setting out at 3am to catch the first light - a brilliant moment with colours which may only last a few minutes. I am an active member of Preston Photographic Society, participating in competitions and outdoor shoots. I hold a Diploma in Digital Imaging, and achieved a Licentiate distinction (LRPS) with the Royal Photographic Society in 2011. I am now working towards my Associateship (ARPS). However,my ultimate goal is to take that elusive perfect image. Enjoy! |
